Grocery Store Gift Card Update….

Grace UCC is now selling Giant, Weis, and Redner grocery store gift cards. Grace UCC receives 5% of the total dollar amount sold from all the gift cards. Here are two great examples: If 50 families purchased $100 of gift cards each week Grace Church would earn $13,000 in one year. But small sales count too; if you purchase $20, Grace receives $1.00. Every sale adds up!!!

The Weis and Giant cards are sold in $10, $20 and $50 denominations. Giant gift cards can also be used to purchase gas at Giant; you must take your gift card to the customer service desk in the store before pumping gas.

The Redner cards come in $20 and $50 denominations. If you are currently using the Redner “Sav-a-Tape” card for the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank (AAEFB), that will still apply. So if you buy the gift cards here at the church you will be helping Grace receive 5% and the AAEFB 1%. You can go to the service desk to apply for a “Sav-a-Tape” card. You scan that card when you make your purchases and then turn in your receipts at church or the church office, and the AAEFB receives 1% of the total sales on all the receipts that are handed in.

The gift cards will be sold before and after worship on Sundays in the church narthex, or you can stop by the office during regular office hours. If you have any questions, call Lisa in the church office 610-434-2671.

Basket Social

Tickets will be sold in advance for $5.00, beginning Sunday, August 2. This includes admission to the Social, 25 chances to win a basket, a door prize ticket, and some refreshments.

The first hour of the Basket Social will be for browsing and enjoying refreshments. At 7:30 p.m. the drawing will begin and will continue until all of the baskets and door prizes have been won.

In order to make this event successful, we need your help. Filled baskets, buckets, or other creative containers can be donated. Ideas are unlimited - Use your imagination and creativity!
